RESTAURANT CURRIES FAVOUR

TWO television presenters dropped in to a Daventry restaurant recently
after being recommended to dine there while filming in the area.
Dominic Littlewood and Kristian Digby, presenters of the BBC's
To Buy or Not to Buy, dropped in to Papadoms in Daventry High Street
on Thursday, August 3.
Managing director of the restaurant Shokat Ali said: "I think
they were filming at a house in Southam and they were staying at
the Daventry Hotel.
"The people at the hotel recommended them to come for a meal
with us on that evening.
"With our reputation we always get people coming in through
recommendations, but to have these two through a recommendation
was something special for us."
The pair present the daytime show in which househunters are shown
a number of properties and asked to give their first impressions
to camera while Dominic and Kristian listen on headphones outside.
The pair were also in the Daventry area in February when they featured
homes in Norton and Weedon as part of the show.
Mr Ali added: "I think they brought the whole team with them.
We had no idea they were coming.
"They were surrounded by everybody and lots of customers were
taking pictures.
"They were very down-to-earth and very friendly. I'm glad
they came and they said they would definitely be back when they
are in this area again." |
